| Comment | Divide and conquer. I'm not one for conspiracy theories, and I doubt any politician (even Boris) gets much benefit from stopping people from spending money. Locking people doesn't make happy voters.
But this policy has just turned people into self-righteous pricks.
I hear it from friends in Italy all the time - 'I went out and all these people were out (\*bear in mind in Italy masks are mandatory even outdoors) so no wonder Covid still continues etc etc'.
Like seriously? I'd like to see the actual science on outdoor infections.
