those scientists discussing the lab leak since the beginning were ignored why is that do you think? They were ridiculed and shut out from discussion as the hypothesis was associated with Donald Trump

Let me ask you this right if someone invested all your money and they lost it all would you trust them again? Or would you continue trusting them to invest on your behalf despite them continuing to make bad decisions?

The lottery analogy dosen't hold water when you take into account that it is mathematically impossible to predict the lottery because of all the different possible combinations of numbers you cannot study that

On the contrary viruses and pandemics have been around for millenia and human knowledge on them has only increased through time peer reviewed research on viruses and pandemics should be directly used to help guide decision making by these scientists and you would hope that as evidence comes to light they would change their decisions based on evidence and not from fear of bad press

These science advisors people are supposedly qualified enough to make predictions about viruses yet here we are 14 months later and most of what they have said has been proven wrong

But to as your point about scientific consensus
Just because most scientists believe something is true and absolute does not mean that it is
The earth being flat
The earth being the centre of the universe
Doctors drilling holes into patients heads to let demons out

This is why it's so damn dangerous for scientific discussion to be censored because what happens if the consensus is flat out wrong and causes more suffering?
For example what if it turns out that the vaccines have dangerous long term effects?
The media and "scientists" told everyone to get it but fast forward 3-5 years and they cause autoimmune disorders or make people more likely to get severely ill from the cold (who knows if there will be long term
consequences but it is dangerous to censor discussion around it because the possibility is there)


What would happen then? Who would be held accountable?
