| Comment | I was of the same opinion. Yesterday it also dawned on me that keeping us in level 3 was likely down to not just the data but the fact we had a bank holiday weekend and the weather being decent. The government obviously knew with that, many people would leave the city so better for that to happen out in the sunshine than allow lots of people to congregate in doors in Glasgow during a Bank Holiday weekend by moving us to level 2. That could have been a little bit of a disaster in itself so appeared best just to ride out this bank holiday whilst accepting that the level 3 thing is simply to prolong indoor mixing at home/restaurants etc. given it was the indoor element that sparked the recent surge in cases. |
