I worked on that spire when it blew down with the boxing Day (St Stephens Day) winds.
We were stopping for as fortnight over Xmas and we asked them if the wanted the flying scaffold dismantled. They said no, the scaffold with boards acted like a sail in the wind, and the rest is history.
