| Comment | as mentioned by /u/jagz86 TCV are always looking for volunteers for mature stuff. They often work alongside the Scottish wildlife Trust, who are always looking for volunteers for stuff.
I'm not in Glasgow, I'm in Cumbernauld and both those groups work together to do a lot in several local nature reserves. If you fancy a trip out of the city to Cumbernauld, 20 ish mins by bus from buchanan bus station, there's always something happening with the reserves and they always need more volunteers.
I used to go along to their weekly walk thing for mental health, called Wild Ways Well, and sometimes helped out with the nature ninjas stuff, but life got in the way.
Definitely worth looking up both https://scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/ groups and https://www.tcv.org.uk/ groups near you if you want to get involved in stuff. |
