There is no shame in mental health issues. Your brain is no more unique than anyone else's. You are not being weak or pathetic. We all have our own mental health issues to deal with. Now its like any other medical condition (because that 100% what it is), you go to a specialist. They tell you whats wrong and you get better from there. Unlikely that you will shake it off without some external help so don't give up, because you can get back to being yourself again.

In the meantime, here are some links for you to get started:

Glasgow based, men's mental health peer group. These guys might be a start for you to get clued in to local support resources.

MedCircle on YouTube is an awesome Mental Health Channel of informative videos made by world class Psychologists. You can do some learnin right now with this. They have specific playlist for OCD, Anxiety disorder and many other targeted topics.

You might not see this because you are in the grip of whatever is going on right now but you clearly have an awesome and supportive GF and also you recognise something isn't quite right and have a desire to get help. Those are two positive things about this right there.

I hope you log back in with your non[deleted] account and read this.

Good luck.
