| Comment | Someone suggested Arran, which great but is tricky to do nowadays b/c of the ferries being booked up. That said, thinking along similar lines I feel like taking a ferry *anywhere* is a good idea. I've had a blast on Bute, and going across Cowal peninsula (ferry Greenock->Dunoon). If you make it a more-than one day trip you can take if further down to Mull of Kintyre.
Having a boat in a way of getting somewhere pretty much enforces it to be a wee bit quieter, which is great for camping. |
