Unfortunately toxic masculinity is still going strong so until it’s completely eradicated, women will still have to suffer with unwanted attention and/or harassment when they’re cycling, running (I used to get that when I ran) or even breathing (“smile!” “Cheer up luv” etc).
People need to bring up their sons to respect women, and I know a lot of parents do but we’re still a long way to go. |
