| Comment | I only started cycling recently and every time I've been shouted at for cycling on the pavement it's been by some fat roaster of a bloke. When I go after them to explain that I only got the bike weeks ago and am not yet confident cycling in traffic in a country with next to no cycle lanes and one of the highest rates of cycling fatalities in the world, in which case I am perfectly allowed to cycle on the pavement as long as I do so slowly and carefully and give way to pedestrians, as I always do, it suddenly seems they don't actually want to have a conversation and scurry away looking scared. You'd almost think they just got some kind of thrill from shouting at a female in the street? |
