Anecdotally there is an element of truth to this. I live in Pollokshields and in the last 5 years there has been marked increase in English people. Probably from London but definitely from SE England at least. At times when walking the dog I hear more English accents than anything else.
Would not surprise me if many are on London/SE England money and can comfortably overbid to secure property which - to them at least - is a bargain. |
