Glasgow has its problems, sure, but christ you don't have exaggerate. I can't speak for Ibrox, but I regularly walk through Parkhead on match days and the largest issue I've had is the mass amount of people on the footpaths making it an issue to get to my destination.
Also, fuck off with the stuff about the nightlife. People talk about it because the city has a pretty unparalleled gig scene in Scotland, a wide selection of pubs, bars and clubs that'll please most, and a pretty awesome selection of eateries across the city.
