I am an immigrant buying in Glasgow. Have lots of friends also immigrants from EU and most of them are buying or already bought properties (in range of prices from 80k to 500k). Immigration is a factor too, you just can't deny that. It may not be the main thing driving prices up but it is a factor.

Also, refugees are put in council housing. The waiting list for council flat is long. People who cannot get it will have to pay premium and rent from private landlords. This is pushing rent prices up and as a result increase property prices. When refugees got life sorted, they will be buying houses here, in their now home, as they, like everybody want to improve their quality of live. They will have kids that, when grown, will be needing their own houses. Nobody is saying that a refugee from Sudan comes to glasgow and buys a house in Jordanhill for 800k.

This is not "racist" or "bigoted" to acknowledge that increase in population of a city with very limited supply of new houses, will cause increase in property prices in long term. This is not "blaming refugees", this is just a fact.
