Yea, Govanhill is an area I'd like to avoid. I've stayed just off Pollokshaws Rd before and that wasn't great. Fine during the day but there was always issues at night.
I'm open to most areas though, so long as it's not a complete dive. Whiteinch seems cheap but that's an area I'm not sure about at all. Don't know enough about the area to make a call.
