Ned/young team culture has changed drastically and I reckon social media is to blame, or it's at the very least amplified it.

Ned culture back in the day was about having the coolest tracky, getting fucking steaming with yer pals, listening to good tunes and battering fuck out rival schemes. At it's root it was probably all just a big dick measuring contest combined with cunts genuinely just wanting a buzz and having nowhere else to get it except clothes, drugs, bevy and scrapping.

Nowadays though neds are different.
Flashier, posier, richer, or at least they appear to be online. They drive nice motors, breed and sell expensive dugs, wear 400 quid polos and post the lot to instagram.
I guess in a way instagram/facebook has made it easier for neds to appear like the big men they think they are without actually having to deal with the consequences of actually getting pasted by someone who can fight.

Fuck knows, it's all a bit rich coming from me since I'm a cunt who grew up in Pollok/Govan in the early 2000s and witnessed it all first hand. "Young teams" nowadays are probably a lot less violent than the gangs of old which can only be a good thing really. Still, wee guys thinking they're solid is now basically an epidemic on social media and part of me wishes they could meet their counterparts from 20 year ago.
