| Comment | When i was fresh out of uni i done bookkeeping for taxi drivers.
Everytime id calculate their earnings, deductibles and state that they would pay a couple of grand for the course of a year and they would be in uproar. "my last accountant only had me pay 300 quid for the year" etc..
Mate... Im just putting your receipts (which im sure arent all there) into an excel sheet, deducting costs and spitting out a number. You earned 20k+ by a lot and you are complaining about 2k tax?
Even had one refuse to pay me because i was "shite"
Also used to support myself through uni by riding rickshaws. We are environmentally friendly and harm no one. Nah, taxi industry pressured the council and they stopped giving us licenses based on a load of shite. We tried to appeal it but we were all students running out own business and did not have the money for lawyers fees. (Edinburgh and london have rickshaws no problem)
Sorry but i have no sympathy for the taxi industry. |
