Given this is a café set up with money from the public, and they have chose to station themselves in a area that is pretty ethnically diverse, just take a stroll down Victoria Road and it's pretty clear to see there's as many white folk as there is people of colour in sight, yet there's no POC on the board of directors....
That plus all the BLM stuff on the windows.
You can't make the argument that there's a lack of POC out there to be involved in the café, and if you're going to make your business so political and push certain ideals then you should really be making an effort to practice what you're preaching essentially. |
