| Comment | don’t walk in and ask for a trial shift, send them an email and ask if they are taking on but obviously formally. they will either ask you to email them back or come and hand it in personally.
for your cv say how you’ve worked as part of a team in a busy environment and can learn quicky and also you are creative (along the lines of cocktails etc) (there’s loads of resources online too!). go for bar work outside of the city first (the favour a full driving license in the city mostly), dive bars are usually better in terms of hours and you don’t have to worry about getting a taxi/bus out of glasgow at a late hour or being stuck there (from personal experience).
don’t sweat it if you don’t hear back tho, i’ve been applying to bar work (previous experience though) and haven’t heard anything back or there was someone better at the interview stage and that’s okay, you’ll find somewhere! |
