I was thinking a bit more on this last night, and I think you're right to a certain extent. I was very lucky in the staff who took care of me - the bone Dr was the senior osteo surgeon in the hospital, but was still doing simple leg casts!

Any organisation the size of SNHS is going to have bad staff, and great staff. I was lucky, but I do genuinely sympathize with those who weren't so lucky.

But I do still think we should be grateful for the health service we have - my experience could have been very different, or insanely expensive, in other countries!
