That's so rough! A lot of people don't seem to realise the risks associated with hormonal birth control. I myself decided to go with the copper IUD after deciding I didn't want to carry on taking hormonal birth control almost 5 years ago (!) and although it was sore getting it in, I've had a much greater piece of mind.
