Blackpool is your best bet. Not much really going on in the town but the pleasure beach is brilliant. Don’t bother trying to get to Alton Towers by public transport as it’s just a pain in the arse if you aren’t driving even if it’s arguably a better park. Technically getting to Thorpe is super easy if you fly from Heathrow as it’s extremely close and if you are staying on site the accommodation at TP is good and extremely good value deals can be had including breakfast and admission for 2 days. |
