Agreed though that the situation is imperfect.
In the medium to long-term I suspect the ambition will be to remove central reservations completely where they exist on arterial roads, along with hatching. But these measures were brought in during a pandemic when people were discouraged to use public transport - with safe road space needed for people to commute/travel by bike if they wanted to. |
