You didn't mention if walking for a while is an issue, so apologies if this advice is bad for you, but if you can expand your preferred 1 mile radius to a place about an hour's walk away I'd do that, and forget bikes and buses.
Not sure what they're like these days, but Anniesland and Maryhill may be easier/cheaper to find something.
