I would give up on renting a furnished flat if you have a cat and just focus on unfurnished. The sticking point is usually scratching furniture. There isn’t much a normally behaved cat can do to ruin an unfurnished flat and offer professional cleaning or a pet deposit should assuage their fears. A lot will likely still say no but you can find people who are fine with it.
