| Comment | If the world woke up tomorrow and said "Let's fix this!" we actually could. It doesn't take floating fusion reactors or something. Lots of basic engineering done at sufficient scale would get us most of the way there, then simple life changes (also at scale) would do the rest.
But because those with the power are not directly suffering (and won't be until longer after you or I), any attempt to effect change is blocked.
We could reforest the entire planet for US$300bn IIRC. That's chump change to any Western nation. |
