In my experience it’s gotten a lot better. I grew up in Govanhill and any trip to Queens Park involved watching out for neds wanting a fight.
I went down to Queens Park during winter when the pond was frozen over and there was some lad dressed as a Jedi doing lightsaber tricks. Recently went down and there was a girl doing gymnastics on some big tripod thing she’d set up near the swings.
These 2 people would have been absolutely hounded trying something like that in Govanhill 20 years ago. |
