A friend of mine grew up in a family that was dyed-in-the-wool orange. They would travel all over Scotland and to NI for marches, regular band practices, etc. etc.

Encouragingly, he's out of it now. Realised that it was all a load of crap by his early teens. The parents disapprove but he's out from under them and doing his own thing now, and far happier for it.

I think that over time the numbers will dwindle. The number of marches might not go down much, but the numbers taking part will gradually decrease.

The flip side is that it'll be the more independent thinking youngsters who leave. The thick ones will continue to get indoctrinated so the movement as a whole will get dumber with each generation. Maybe at some point there'll be nobody left who's competent to fill in the paperwork to apply for a permit to march...
