| Comment | Honestly it’s terrible. There have been campaigns to change it and use the “Va Pensiero” (from Verdi’s Nabucco) instead but for various reasons, including the fact that the latter is about the Jewish people, we’re still stuck with that horror. The text was written by some obscure school teacher and it should have been relegated to small town marching bands but nope. |
