I think Helensburgh seafront offers some of the best sunset views in the central belt, but I'm biased since I grew up there. Also has the bonus you could get a meal and some ice cream from Dino's (accept nothing else there, even if he is the grumpiest owner of an ice cream shop you ever did see) before sitting on the front and watching the sun set over the Forth of Clyde and the Rosneath Peninsula.
