Given how many people seem to ride, and given how inattentive many drivers are, I can see bikes coming a cropper as they blast up the inside only for a car to cut in at the end of the bus lane without looking.
Bikes can filter and, if sufficient care is taken, that can offset most of the "benefit" from accessing bus lanes.
You also need to consider how the bus gates work - can bikes use those?
