Hi, the West End is broad. If you could be more specific people would be able to help you a little better based on transport links. Also depends what kind of commute you are willing to have.

The areas you have mentioned are all desirable these days so prices are on the up slightly faster than more outlying areas.

Pretty much all of the West End has superb transport links through one of the transport modes.

Look at the subway map on spt.co.uk. Its a very small circular system (takes 24 minutes to complete an entire loop) and a chunk of the network is in the West End.

If your job is near Great Western Road or the northern side of Byres Rd you have Subway stations St Georges Cross, Kelvinbridge or Hillhead close by. You can stay anywhere there is a Subway station close by (Kinning Park/Ibrox/Govan/Partick

Bus wise the 6 runs every 10 minutes and is a cross city service so that opens up areas like Clydebank, Yoker, Anniesland, Govanhill, and Battlefield with a direct bus route.

The 6A runs every 10 minutes (and branches off from the regular 6 at Anniesland) and opens up Knightswood.

If your job is closer to the Dumbarton Rd/Argyle St end then you are transport rich. Same applies with the Subway, with the stops being Kelvinhall or Partick.

Railway wise there is a great cross city service. With stations at Partick and Exhibition Centre then it really opens your options.

Bus wise: the 2 runs every 10 minutes or better opening your options to Clydebank, Scotstoun, and Whiteinch.

The 3 runs frequently cross city which opens up areas like Laurieston, Pollokshields and Shawlands.

Parking wise, the West End can be pretty brutal. Closer to the city centre much of it is chargeable/residents only.
