Thank you very much.

So it's just a matter of terminology then. You say restrictions, I still say lock-down. Lock-down is still an applicable term to me as many things are still locked-down; (festivals, nightclubs and football stadiums being the main ones personally).

And on top of that, things that are open, like pubs, it's a much diluted affair from what it used to be. I (used to) go to the pub with the hope of meeting new people but now you aren't really allowed to speak to anyone that isn't sitting at the same table as you. And they all now shut at 10/11, so if I finish work at midnight, I have nowhere I can go to enjoy myself after work currently.

> How people can claim we’re still in lockdown bamboozles me.

Well for me (and therefore many others too) I'd say life is still closer to full lockdown than back to normal. I understand what you are saying, for many people things will be quite close to being back but for anyone who likes a gig, a party or a festival, life is still very much on hold. Yeah I can go to work but then how do I unwind or what do I look forward to outside of work?

> you can go on holiday throughout the U.K. by planes trains and automobiles and to other countries based on different levels of precautions being in place.

You might be able to but is that really a great idea right now? Even if you were to go on holiday you would likely feel more worried than usual about it all, there's the possibility of wherever you are being removed from the green list at any time, not everything is likely to be open wherever you go and there are likely to be capacity restrictions in the places that are open, much like here, so it's not really the same is it?

> You can be in houses with friends and family.

I can't have a party though can I? Instead of inviting a group of mates round I need to pick a select few and shun the rest. It's not nice having to exclude people.

> So yeah, aside from having to give people personal space and wear a wee bit of fabric on your face in inclosed space

I'm talking about events with large crowds, or rather events that rely and thrive on large crowds, where social distancing would not really be a particularly viable option.

> there’s little you can’t do.

I get that I am an uncouth, uncultured swine who just likes football and loud music but I'm still waiting for most of the fun things I do in life to make a return. All the gyms, hillwalking and online activities in the world won't fill the gap.

Apologies if this came across as an argumentative sob story I'm just trying to give perspective on how for some people we are still in a situation much like lock-down, and they would therefore say that we are still in lock-down. Yeah I can go to the park but it's just not the same as being at a festival. I am all for these restrictions, despite my complaints. I'm just pedantically arguing over the word lock-down and whether it applies here. Maybe I'm just trying to argue that life isn't back to normal yet so let's not pretend that it is, or something, I don't know. Hopefully you can see why I might have chosen to keep saying lock-down, despite us technically not being in full lock-down. To me, not being in lock-down means I can do all the hobbies and activities I could 2 years ago. Any form of restrictions are in effect, a form of lock-down. Thanks for the response anyway have a nice day,
