| Comment | I’m not sure if the kids pools are open in any of the Glasgow Club pools. I haven’t been in them all since they reopened, but was at Whitehill in Dennistoun this week, and the kiddies pool is drained and closed off. The shallow end of the main pool is 0.8m, so might be a bit deep for your youngest to put their feet on the bottom. As someone else has said, I think you need a 1-1 adult to non-swimming child.
The booking is a pain in the arse too - books up very quickly. They only release slots 7 days in advance. The pool was split in to 3 lanes for swimmers and the other half was for family swim. My son and I had it to ourselves, as they only allow 1 family per session. Seems like overkill as the pool is huge. Most of the pools only have 2 days with family swim sessions per week, so there’s not much availability.
If you can be bothered, Mariner Centre in Falkirk has a beach entry pool and is very warm, but you have to call ahead the day before to book and it’s only half hour slots, so a fair hike for a short swim. |
