I was originally looking for a 1 bedroom, but actually found the difference between and really decent 1 bedroom and a decent two bedroom was usually less than 100 quid. Which made me go for a two bedroom.
Dunno why that is, I suppose a lot of people must have split from their partners during lockdown haha!
But yeah, got my last flat in January 2020 for 600 quid just near the kelvingrove museum. When I was looking this year any one bedroom of the same nice standard seemed to be around 700 to 800 and had about 7 people applying.
Switched to looking for two bedrooms and got a decent one for under 800 in Hyndland, only two other people applied. Albeit it looked like a shit hole because the last people were manly bastards, the landlord took a month to clean and paint it and get it looking nice again. So I suppose a decent amount of luck involved |
