| Comment | Apart from the sites mentioned already, open market is also one where a few landlords advertise their places privately. Having been in a similar position just a few days ago, I know how hard it can be to find the best place. From what I know, when you go to viewings, if it is indeed the place you want, show enthusiasm, apply right away, have the documents etc ready. Generally agencies will want you to earn more than 30 times the rent annually. You can still apply for the place if you earn less, but that does come under consideration, so apply for both ideal place but also good enough place.
