The worst thing about trying to buy a house in the last year has been all the people who don't seem to have any concept of supply and demand saying things like "oh I would never have paid 100k for a house there!". Even when every house in that area is listed at offers over 140 and selling within a day or two of being listed.


After spending genuinely about a year being outbid again and again comments like that trigger me now haha. We just moved and the first thing next door did was tell us how we had massively overpaid, he bought his house for a quarter of what ours was listed at etc. No bother mate, give us a loan of your time machine then or fuck off. As if I've willingly chose to spend thousands more than I had to, what an idiot I am!
