| Comment | NS pretty much said yesterday this is becuase they are still required/opting to follow the science and take of the JCVI. Which is effectively why the 2nd dose vaccination program is being curtailed by the supply and performance of 8 weeks prior. Suggesting that they could go faster if the 'science' (i.e. JCVI 8 week gap) on this were to change. Effectively we are being stympied not by current supply or demand but on recommendtions made months ago on basis of not necessarily best perfomrance of vaccine programming but on the supply available and how it was best utilised months ago.

Par for the course with the Covid response really, slow and generally very inflexible to the situation and circumstances at the time. |
