Back in the '80s outdoor vending machines were installed on Duke Street. This was when Dennistoun was rough as fuck. The machines were the same ones that had been successfully installed in New York's Bronx without any problems. They lasted about a week in Dennistoun before being destroyed and then removed. True story.
