Have you looked at yoga, language or other classes? With covid, I feel a lot of people are in similar positions
It can be hard to talk to strangers but I've met a few people by chatting in somewhere nice like Kelvingrove. I moved from England and was surprised how much everyone here will just chat to anyone who's friendly. I'm getting better at it too
If you're up for it and see someone who looks friendly and in an approachable situation, you could straight up say what you said here "hi, I'm new here and trying to meet people, could you recommend any clubs or places I could try?"
If that happened to me in the park, I'd try and be the same as when someone asks the same question on Reddit |
