A lot of the older wagons are used as backup for when the in service units under maintenance/repair. First & McGills both run some ancient stock but its not always in frequent service.
Who are that Dumbarton crew who keeps driving their double deckers into bridges? I'm pretty sure they typically fun ancient stuff.
