I waited about a year for a purple bin and eventually got one after Tweeting them. A few months after I got it - over a year since the original request - I got an automated email saying "Your request for a new recycling bin has been passed on to your local cleansing depot for processing."
If I get a second purple bin I'll paint it green for you.
