Comment | The most cost effective option hands down (but one that requires a bit of patience) is ordering small plants or even plugs from ebay and growing them out. Alternatively giving your networks a shout for cuttings.
It needs patience because the plants start out small and it might take them several months to start getting respectable, but it costs a tiny fraction of what buying full plants would (especially with the kind of demand on houseplants we have at the moment).
Point in case: I got a small, two-leaf monstera (i.e. the compulsory millenial plant) cutting from my sister a couple years ago and now the thing is an absolute huge beast which would've cost me upwards of 100 quid. |
