| Comment | Shawlands would work well (I live in Shawlands so I’m biased but it is a safe area IMO). There are at least 3 direct bus services that would work and run frequently (Glasgow’s got a pretty good bus and train service within the city to get you about). The numbers of the bus services would be the 3, and several of the 38s (I.e 38b and c). Look up first Glasgow buses and you can get a vague idea of the route from near the uni into Shawlands.
Shawlands also has plenty of pubs and other useful places
