It's not the country, it's Glasgow. I've moved to Dundee and we only have one big general waste bin for 30+ flats but it's picked up 3 times a week. Food waste for composting is at the end of the street, glass is a few streets over and the rest of the recycling needs to also be taken a few streets over to a small recycling center where you sort paper / plastic / metal.
It's pretty annoying to figure out when you arrive but it beats my old bin storage in Glasgow where you couldn't reach the ones at the back so the ones at the front kept overflowing and every couple of months the factor would need to do a deep clean and charge everyone for it. |
