| Comment | It'll be interesting to see how they police the exemption for vehicles for disabled people. At the moment for parking you just put a blue badge on the windscreen of any vehicle you happen to be in. (So a carer can use their own vehicle to take someone out - the badge belongs to the disabled person and is independent of any vehicle)
I assume the emissions zone is going to be policed by ANPR cameras, reading a plate won't be much help in this scenario. I doubt the cameras will be able to read a blue badge. Appealing a fine every time you take your granny into the town wouldn't be much fun. |
