Depending on where your flat is delivery from a charity shop may be a similar cost across a wider area range than you might think. I stay in Bridgeton, near the city centre, and I found that delivery from Motherwell was only slightly dearer than from Partick.

In Partick my feeling is that the Salvation Army has fairly high turnover of furniture and only occasionally have white goods. The BHF nearer the train station often has a small selection of white goods, they are good bet for a bed and decent mattress IMO. Emmaus charity shop further west down Dumbarton Road is good for furniture but also soft furnishings like cushions and kitchen stuff like cutlery and glassware.

There is a Shelter and BHF on Stockwell Street in town, both with furniture and white goods. There's a big Shelter in Rutherglen's main street shopping centre (along with a branch of Home Bargains). In Motherwell there's a fairly big BHF and another well stocked Shelter.
