I moved to Glasgow in February and I’d say it’s nowhere near as rough as people think. If your office is in Charing Cross, you could walk there from pretty much anywhere central-ish. I’m a few minutes walk from Charing Cross station, close to Sauchiehall Street, Finnieston and Woodlands. The city centre is going to be a bit noisy and chaotic - I wouldn’t say rough, but there are some interesting people out and about. It does depend on your perception of “rough”. If you’re young you’re going to be fine.
