cheers for the advice. Upstairs own their own flat so there's no landlord to speak to, it might be a good shout to see if other flats in the building are affected though, see what they think. I know it's a very difficult situation as it involves a child but as you say it's hard to just sit back and ignore it when it's so disruptive
