Never heard of this spice boy phenomenon, I will keep an eye out for it.
My favourite sub genre of trends is from the 2000's.
It was the ned goth. When the goths used to hang outside GOMA the Neds used to slag them off, but then, they started to get into the Goths music after they hung out together.
So then, after a period of time you would see these Neds with tracksuit bottoms on, and a Slipknot or Korn T shirt on, maybe even a wee bit of make up or an eyebrow ring.
Not quite a Ned, not quite a Goth.
