I think if you're outside of the community (no idea if you are) I think there's an impression that the scene is quite small when it's actually huge, especially since Glasgow is the city in the west of Scotland a lot of LGBT people will visit as well. Bonjour seems to have done *really* well in the small time it's been open, so more bars would probably make money (Patrick Harvie actually visited too haha!)
The existing gay bars and clubs are also a bit exclusionary to members of the community who aren't cis gay men, for example Polo used to be quite shite but it's getting better! |
