| Comment | Tbf that's still all anecdotal, and Eastern Europe is rather large and diverse to say the least. Moscow will feel very different from Brno for example. Many city centres across the globe have areas and times to avoid.
Though I think we can have a slightly warped perspective because we're familiar with Glasgow and very used to knowing how to avoid things like that or even knowing how to deal with it, as opposed to being abroad. I think that inherently comes with an uneasy feeling of unfamiliarity so for example I've felt more unsafe in other cities when maybe I wouldn't have in Glasgow. |
